Dental Inlays can be made of porcelain, gold, or composite resin which makes them strong and very natural looking. An inlay is a filling made in the dental laboratory and it is used inside the cusp tips of the tooth and then bonded to the damaged area.
Traditionally, gold has been the material of choice for inlays. In recent years, however, porcelain inlays have become increasingly popular due to strength and colour, which can match the natural colour of your teeth.
Inlays last longer than white fillings and are recommended for larger cavities where white fillings would not be strong enough.
